Went to visit the MFA last night (for free on Wednesday nights!).
Two awesome shows, Nick Nixon and Avedon fashion. I could do without a lot of the Avedon photos but there were some cool early 8x10 contact prints and a really huge, eye popping print of the model with elephant photo. That was worth seeing in itself.
The Nick Nixon exhibit was really awesome. Technically perfect, emotional, interesting. Just great stuff. Mostly 8x10 contact prints. A couple were among the best prints I've ever seen.
