hello,
I have a lens with Ilex No.5, the same as this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/14-f7-7-Goerz-Dagor-Ilex-5-shutter-16x20-11x14-8x10-/320547604548?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Film_Cameras&hash=item4aa2204844#ht_3194wt_1137)

I don't see any socket. How can I trigger the studio strobe? . Is there any adapter for it?

Thank you very much.
Anh

Hi Anh

Not all # 5 Ilex's are created equal .

Ilex #5 Universal & Then Ilex #5 Universal Synchro

You need an adapter from bipin to a synch cord. Not sure who has these available but someone here should have an idea.

The two posts are the sync contacts. They actually work better than those Eurotrash PC contacts that became the standard later on.

Thanks everyone for helping me, I have learned new thing everyday :). Paramountcors.com is selling Bipost to PC sync adapter http://www.paramountcords.com/proddetail.asp?prod=bp-pf.

I am going to get one for studio strobe.

Thanks again.

Hey Frank, some eurotrash can be good (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
