Jock Sturges workshop in Palm Springs

I've just signed up for the Jock Sturges workshop at the Palm Springs Photo Festival. I'm bringing the 8x10. Has any other LF shooter signed up? I hope I'm not the only one.

He is teaching a 5-day workshop near me within easy driving distance, but it's 1200 bucks AND you have to submit $250 nonrefundable with a portfolio. I'm a tightwad and I'm just wondering if I'd get my money's worth.

Bruce, my husband made the trip back home to Louisiana this weekend for the workshop with Jock in New Orleans. He just called me a bit ago as they wrapped up the 2nd of the 5 day course.

He's quite enthusiastic and says that he's truly getting a lot from it. Considering he's always steered clear of workshops (this is only his second in his career), he's now glad he's there. Of course, I would have loved to have attended as well, but maybe another time. Until then, I'll be getting the full 'scoop' once Bobby returns home next week.

LOL. I had to look twice or thrice to figure out what you were talking about.

But there is a difference in these two sentences:

"Bruce, my husband made a trip back home to Louisiana ..."

and

"Bruce, my husband, made a trip back home to Louisiana ..."

Does anyone have the upcoming workshop dates? For some reason I cannot locate them anywhere and I really want to attend at least one of Sturges workshops before I get too old (LOL)
