Photo Clam PC-33N with Chamonix?

Hi, has anyone had any experience with a Photo Clam PC-33N with a lightweight field camera, like a Chamonix? I know I'd be better off with a more heavy duty ball head, and I have one of those for normal use, but I was wondering how successful the smaller PC-33N would be on a lighter tripod for trekking further.

It suggests it's load capacity is 30kg but that just sounds completely silly!

I've used the PC-40 with the Chamonix and it works just fine. The only problem is the whole package is light weight and subject to movement in the wind. Hanging a weight from the tripod can help.
