I got my new Shenhao TFC-617A before the Oct holiday. I was looking at the Shenhao wood 617 for some time. I'm just wondering to get the folded version or non folded version. After trying both at Mr. Zhang's store, I decided to buy the non-folded version. I took with the aluminum case that comes with it. The case (not the orginal one but that can fit Shenhao 5X7) can hold the camera, one orginal 617 back, one 508 meter, 8X view loup and two packs of negative roll film. Though i have this seperate case, it's really convenient considering photo taking. I don't need to spend time to set up the focus as the folded version. I will upload some photo later on. Would like to see other's comments and pictures.

Gchu1970,

There is a long thread on this subject over on the Yahoo 617 forum. Just Google it if you are not familiar with it.

Hope you enjoy the camera!

Knock yourself out, Tiger!!!

Starting a 6x17 Image Thread asking for images might be your best bet.

No. 1, 4 and 5. Really fine use of the format. Nice piece of equipment - I'm jealous. What's the film used?

I might be selling the original Shen Hao 617 soon. I just don't shoot colour any more and use my 7x17" for B&W.
