Just run into a box of HP5 and I need some ball park development times for pyrocat HD. I've developed a lot of FP4 in pyrocat 1-1-100 and rotary processing but never any HP5 and the numbers at the massive dev chart for this combination are a bit all over the place. Anybody has some figures to start me off with my own tests?

Thx.

For me, if I can't find a Pyrocat HD time I'll look for a PMK time and knock 10% off and use that as a starting point. For rotary processing I'll knock off another 15%.

It depends, of course, what you're ultimately printing. For PT/PD I do 11 minutes at 70 degrees, agitate the first minute and every 30 seconds --for N, N-1 and N-2. For more than N-2, I might pull back to 9 minutes. These are for two 8x10 sheets in trays.
Good luck,
Dave

I should have said that I rate HP5 at E.I. 300 for the above.

For N I use at 200 EI, Pyrocat HD 1+1+100 @ 20°C 15 mins coninuous agotation firts 30 seconds then 3 inversions every minute.
