I'd like to use my lenses mounted on small Toyo boards (110mm I think) on my Tachihara 8x10 with Sinar boards: does an adapter exist? I don't find it on the Toyo accessories list :(

Hi Philippe,

I use one that was made by Sinar, however they don't appear very often on the used market. Keep a lookout on the auction sites but you may have to have one made?

Small Toyo field panels are 110mm which I prefer to Linhof when using larger lenses. However I suspect you will find Sinar to Linhof adapters more easily.

If you are a bit handy: get a Sinar lensboard and make one your self !

I used Wista parts for an adapter plate to make an adapterplate for the Sinar and Technika plates.

In that way........

I am back in Holland, Europe in the second half of September again.
I might be able to make something for you with a Sinar <> Linhof Technika board then, but I have to check when back.

Don't know about shipping charges, but SK Grimes makes adapter boards. You send them your Sinar board and they adapt it to the smaller board of your choice. I think it costs about $125. For a bit more, they can supply the larger board as well.

FYI, Toyo field boards are the same size (and very slightly thinner) than Canham lens boards which are cheaper ($34 at Badger) and readily available.
