hey all,

i got an entire set of old green pot metal photogenic studio lights a while back. great for my needs and the price was very close to free. got 7 lights including a soft box.

problem is i need to find some more of the optical slaves (cat no. AE71).

i can not seem to find them. i know you guys know where to go. can some one put me on the trail. e mails to the company was fruitless......never heard back.

thanks

eddie

Try www.photogenicpro.com (http://www.photogenicpro.com), if that is where it came from, they might help you further.
If the don't carry this item anymore, ask them for a schematic so you can build a couple of them yourself.

Good luck,
Peter

Or may contact Robin Robal at Flashlights/Robal Co. He is one of the top flash repair/customizers on the West Coast (Los Angeles area). I haven't needed his services in years, but he is a master. 323-466-2065

I don't know that pack, but can't you just plug in a slave into the sync outlet. Is the sync cord this multi plug outlet? If so, maybe Robal can make an adapter that will convert the slave socket to one more conventional (although I would guess that any custom-made part fill negate the great price you paid).

Oh... you're looking for hardware.
Here I was thinking I could volunteer to be your wet plate whore/assistant.
My boss still gives me funny looks when I refer to my job title as "corporate whore", but I think he's coming to realize it isn't far from the truth, especially when he tasks me to do his evil bidding (no, not the Ebay kind!).

Hello,

Unfortunately we do not send out the schematic to anyone other than authorized service agents.

Eddie, tell them you have a damaged one and you wanted the schematic to re-build it properly - ask them for a list of authorised service agents... then bribe a service agent for the schematic :)

There is on other way: get some of those sockets.
Than take this one carefully apart and try to figure out which pin is + sync en which is - sync.
Than get some slave triggers and connect their + sync to the + sync of the socket, the same with the - sync.

After testing you can make a nice unit out of it with resin.

You need to be a bit of an electronic's guy to do it.
