While out and about in Chicago Friday my gf and I stopped by the Water Tower on Michigan Ave. to see the photo exhibit. What a pleasant surprise, albumen prints from an anonymous photographer taken about 3-4 weeks after the Great Chicago Fire in 1871.
Beautiful prints in a well lit room showing what was left after the firestorm. I can't say enough about this treasure. If you have the opportunity I recommend it highly. I don't know how long it will be there.
