Could someone tell me what micro swings are? The wista 45sp has micro swings and the 45vx does not. Are they really really need for general landscape photography?

¡Micro Swing:

SP Camera is provided with the back microswing movement which is a cam system with a fulcrum at right and left sides of the image. This feature gives you fast focusing.

Years ago I had an SP. There is the normal swing, and this geared micro swing. Generally the normal swing movement was ample for landscape. The micro swing was more useful for closeup -- where very fine adjustment was useful due to very narrow depth of field.

You should find the SP a reasonable system -- I quickly outgrew this years ago due to the longer and wider lenses I used back in my 4x5 days.
