Owned the epson 9800 for about two years, one problem I've noticed is that when printing onto canvas in particular if the image I'm printing has no shadow detail in a part of the image you get a thick black show up on the print. I didn't know whether anyone had a fix for this be it in photoshop reallocating the colour. Any help or advice would be greatfully received.

What's to fix? Black is black.

But this forum is primarily about large format photography (think view cameras) rather than wide format printing (think 60 cm (24 inch) and wider inkjet printers). You might want to join and search the archives of the yahoo EpsonWideFormat group.
