Linhof V backs ?

Hi, I have a good opportunity to buy a "Linhof Technika V 6x9" with a couple of lenses etc..
As I was originally looking for a 4x5 camera I am now wondering if it would be possible to buy a 4x5 back and then use the camera for both.
Its a very basic question about Linhof Technikas: Are they sizewise etc. designed to be used for one format or will it be possible to use them for 4x5'' and medium format ?

No, you can't use 4x5 film on a 6x9 Linhof Technika. But you can use roll film on a 4x5 Technika using a roll film back.
