Congratulations - this is an awesome shot and you did this with a LF camera on type 55 film? Amazing!

Thanks, Juergen! I'm glad you liked it.

Yes, all of my Angels & Insects (http://www.angelsandinsects.com) photos are done on Type 55 film using a Sinar LF camera.

I just went on your website and looked at all the other macro pictures -you must infinite patience - I use digital capture for Macro and I know how many shots turn out blurry because the insect moved - and you do it all with LF equipment - what an achievment.

I also just ordered your book!

Very well done!

Thanks for the support!

You know, patience is a funny thing. I like nothing more than spending the hours it takes to get one of my insect photos just right before releasing the shutter. Blur is inevitable, at those magnifications heat from lights causes drafts, trains in the distance cause shake, and sometimes they just burst into flames. But I don't mind.

What I have nary the patience for is working with people - I just can't click the release fast enough to get it all over with.

What is a "Preditor"?

It's a play on the words Predator and Editor. P&E review mostly horror and science fiction (genre) work. Someone thought it was clever.
