View Full Version : microtek m1
I am considering buying the microtek M1 pro scanner for 4x5 films. I intend to print no larger than 16x20 fine art prints from the scans.
I will appreciate those with personal experience with the scanner and 4x5 scans if they can share their experiences good or bad.
Thanks

Might want to read this thread first about Microtek leaving the North American market.
I like mine very much. I use it mostly for B&W 4X5. Its not fast and it makes a lot of noise but it gives me very nice scans.
13X19 is the largest I have printed with it but I am very happy with the way the prints look.
I am a little worried about the lack of support but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

The 4x5 holder almost gives you the whole ~96x121mm image, but not quite. The glass holder would, of course, let you scan as much as you want.
