I was getting ready to go to bed and I'm glad I checked my e-mail. They announced the results for this years competition and I am proud to announce that my "Eye of the Oak, Yosemite" was selected as one of the winners. Looks to be the only carbon transfer print selected. First time I've ever entered anything. I saw several other names the I am familiar with on the list. Congratulations to all of the other winners.

Congrats, Jim! You have put in a lot of hard work learning the carbon process...and it looks like it is paying off!

Have a great time in Yosemite at the opening! The end of February has been pretty nice these past few years -- no telling what it will be like this year with this crazy weather!

I was so excited last night that I forgot to post the image. It is naturally hard to tell from the low rez scan how nice the image tone and relief is of this carbon transfer print. This is an 8x10 Shot with my Fuji 240 @ F-64 3:30 on J&C 200. Thanks.

Jim

ps: Vinny, I'm still looking for that special Walnut tree!!

Congratulations on Yosemite Renaissance!

I saw that Black Oak tree (http://www.achromaticarts.com/big_image.php?path=yosemite&img_num=7) in 2003. It is indeed a thing of beauty! I'm glad to see it's still alive and doing well.
