I'm looking for a recessed copal 00 lensboard for a Chamonix 45N-1.
I believe Shen Hao and Linhof lensboards are compatible. But I can't find any of that kind.

Any idea where to find such lensboard if ever it exists ?

That said, is there any Chamonix users using a 65mm on their 45N-1 ?
With what kind of lensboard ?
I think a non-recessed lensboard would be able to do the job as the default bellow can be quite compressed.
That setting would allow no movements at all, but this 65mm does not allow movements on 4x5" either. So I think that is not a big problem.

btw : the 65mm is a Schneider Super-Angulon f/8

There was never a Copal #00 shutter, but if your SA 65mm is mounted in a Compur #00, you cannot mount it in a recessed Linhof lensboard because the cable release cannot screwed in. Also one cannot reach the diaphragm lever, speed ring etc. For this lenses mounted in Compur #00 shutters where mounted in recessed lensboards with an adapter ring. This lifts up the shutter so the lensboard is only 5mm recessed.

Correct.
My bad. I wrote my question too quickly without taking the time to double check technical details.

And another good point risen is that that shutter will be totaly inconvenient if mounted on a recessed lensboard.

I guess I'll purchase a flat Linhoff #00 lensboard.
Though I would be encouraged if a Chamonix 45N-1 user could confirm the use of a 65mm on such lensboard.

You can buy a flat 0 Linhof lensboard or a flat Linhof lensboard with a pilot hole so you can have the opening milled (not drilled) to the size that you need. But Linhof does not make 00 boards. Neither does Wista.

is the linhof lensboard anything like the 110mm square toyo board?
i have my 5.6 65mm SA mounted in a DEEP recessed toyo board.
i use a right angle release adapter in to get the shutter release in there,
and a ball point pen to move the diaphragm lever. it is a tight squeeze
to adjust the shutter speeds, but do-able.

No it's smaller, ca. 95 x 98 mm. The same lensboard is used with the Technika 4x5" (http://www.linhof.de/master_technika_3000_e.html), Technikardan (http://www.linhof.de/technikardan_e.html) and other cameras like the Wista (http://www.wista.co.jp/e_wista/e_show/e_camera/e_camera.htm).

You can get #00 drilled boards from jinfinance on ebay for about $20. Make sure to specify center drilled hole.

I use my Nikon 65mm f4 on a flat board on my Chamonix without issues. Bellows are compressed, but movement is not available with the lens anyway.

I had a 65mm lens with a 00 shutter mounted in a Linhof recessed board so I know that it does exist. Just keep looking. I sold mine several years ago. You might check the German ebay sight which often has a lot lo the older Linhof items.

Thanks all for quick and sharp answers.

I'll roam around on Ebay to find such Linhoff recessed lensboard.
But as I might need it soon and as the 65 seem manageable on a flat board, I might go for a flat one.
Plus, I won't need the pen and the angle cable release adapter.

I'd add another plug for jinfinance. Always has a stock of boards and as stated will drill/fix one for you if you contact them.
