Anyone else see this ad for some swanky properties in San Miguel De Allende?

My question is what kind of tripod head is she 'using'?

Also, I love her gauzy working attire, its what I wear in the field. Looks like that shoulder 'gear bag' was added as an afterthought. Not a good look. She also looks confused as all hell.

She just said, "Oh shit they're coming, and here I am with my sappy film bag wearing a table cloth".

It's so ridiculous.

Where her dark cloth? No loupe hanging around her neck. Surprise she isn't wearing pearls!

Hope she doesn't trip on that dress while up on the roof.

Don't know about the head, but the tripod is an old wooden motion picture type.

I was 40 miles away from there in June. Too many gringos in San Miguel.

I'd rather have property where I was in Guanajuato, GTO, MX.

Is she the photographer?

Looks more like someone asked to her to keep an eye on the camera while the photographer went off to do something else...so, the photographer did not return, the camera gear is in the middle of the street and she is starting to look for the candid camera...

Madame has that expression that indicates that she's just watched her Beverly Hills Chihuahua get run over by a Chevrolet.

don't mention that damn movie. I was forced to go with my folks (dad's birthday) and I think I am going to invoice the studio that made it for 2 hours of my time. It was horrible.

Let's hope you got lucky for having to sit through that Hollis. You can always take her hunting as revenge.

The person she's looking at apparently just told her what her portfolio is looking like these days.

Typical modern ad...
Has nothing to do with/ no info about, the product.
I wanna know....
Is that the actual subdivision in the background?
Looks kinda rustic /artsy.

I guess, when you read Wall Steet Journal everyday,
you don't need a dark cloth anymore.

This reminds me of the TV commercial for Transitions lenses with the oh-so-chic French woman wildlife documentary photographer. She's out in the desert dunes somewhere, presumably the Sahara, sporting a pair of Transitions lenses in her glasses while filming her wildlife subjects in a glamorous outfit with perfect makeup and hair. Just like all the other photogs I run into out in the wilderness...

Has anyone else seen this commercial?

Oh my god, is this what it all comes to in this dreadful and cruel world? I was just heading out in my best white nightgown (the one with the little flower stitchings) to take a pretty picture of the lovely landscape, minding my own business, and all of a sudden some stalker hiding in the bushes snaps a god awkful shot of me and plasters it all over the Wall Street Journal ... how pitiful ... now what shall I put in the entry in my secret diary ... oh the despair in one's life ... :D
The ad is nothing but the usual half baked advertising rubbish that accompanies pretty much any housing development anywhere. Ever looked at the kitschy names accompaning these? I guess somebody just wanted to up the ante in the pure cynicism a little or alternatively sink to a new low - take your pick.

So they tried to go for the whimsical antique semi-victorian look, channeling a little too much Dorothea Lange. Guess they couldn't afford a period camera in the budget though (yeah, it's sooooooo difficult to buy a 100$ camera off ebay). And could somebody please explain to me the reason of that bag she is carrying (paper delivery as a side income to a failed art career, or oversized purse for all the makeup accessories)? I have to admit, the girl is kinda cute; but probably high maintenance  .

Hey, I like that TV commercial with the transitions lenses woman. Hell, I wouldn't mind being stuck in the middle of nowhere with her for awhile.

On the off chance she is part of this forum, Call me.

Film holders, which it seems she has forgotten to put in the bag!

That is roughly what I was thinking on Friday morning when I saw that ad. Well, I didn't think of pearls around her neck.....:D

Just one more ad, this one actually made me look at the camera and tripod. I was shooting LF this weekend, and I must be fashion unconscious because I was wearing ratty jeans, beat up field jacket, and a large backpack. Now I know I should be wearing something more elegant in case I'm spotted

Tripod is a wooden Miller, typically used for big Hollywood movie cameras, altho some 8x10 photogs use them too.
