I love going back to Vermont and doing these, such an inspirational
place to be for a printmaker. Always a great time with great people.
Thanks for allowing me to self promote a bit.

I've been out to Tyler's studio in Seattle and seen some of his prints. I was totally blown away! He is a really talented photographer so he has excellent material to work with. But that alone doesn't explain his prints.

His prints, from his own work or when printing for other photographers, are absolutely stunningly beautiful. Amazing control over tonality. He's doing things with inkjet printing that I didn't think were even possible (and I've been doing it myself for six+ years now). "Master Printer" doesn't even begin to describe him.

I'm just saying, the man knows whereof he speaks. If you are interested in improving the quality of your inkjet printing, he's got plenty to teach. It should be an excellent workshop. I wish I could attend, but I've got a niece's wedding to go to. :(

Very true but even when I put the two together, it still didn't work. But all is well, your tiny thingy worked like a charm.

Thanks!

Hi Tyler

I am seriously considering this course. Will you be covering with Black and White conversion techniques?

My business partner has taken a Jon Cone workshop years ago and was very impressed with the detail that was offered with the group hosting the event. I have never printed with the piezo inks and would be interested in seeing the process as it compares with my Lambda to silver prints. I think the best way for this is to bring scans and film and see a direct apple to apple comparison to some of my prints.

You mean conversions from rgb captures? If so yes, but more time will be spent on Photoshop techniques specific to making good B&W prints, and materials.
Some time will be spent on scanning, and capture/conversion, as required.
But there are entire Lightroom workshops where days could be spent on this alone.
We have 4 days for everything from input to output and materials...
