There are some nice car pictures in other threads, but nothing dedicated to them. So I'll broaden it a bit to include all vehicles of transportation and hopefully it will flourish as much as the other photo threads...
And to start it off, here is one of mine: Mil Mi-4 helicopter.
Chamonix 5x8", Fomapan 100 13x18cm.

Very interesting Jiri- are those mothballed or still in service? Hate to see that in my rearview!
I'll join in- but all I got it this retread that I posted before.

Colin, they are not in service, not even properly mothballed. They're presented in an open-air museum of sorts. Old surplus military aircrafts and some land vehicles, some in better shape (some of them seem just ready to take off), some only in parts (well, a jet engine on itself with all the tubings is a pretty impressive machine). I'll have to return there to depict some more...
And although I've already seen your picture, I enjoy looking at it again...

Hey, alright! I was wondering if a 'cars' or 'vehicles' thread would get started! Glad to see it! Jiri, I grew up near a military base in Louisiana, I remember getting to climb in and out of the tanks and helicopers that were always out on display near the base when I was little! Your photographs of the helicopters on overgrown concrete surrounded by forests bring back those memories!
I shoot alot of cars digitally, and I'm just now getting into shooting them more on film! :-) Here's some recent shots, I've got more 8x10 waiting to be scanned from the pits at the vintage race. Here's a little slice of my film automotive photography:
4x5 speedgraphic with barrel lens, 145mm:

4x5 speedgraphic with regular shuttered lens, 135mm I believe:

4x10 (1/2 8x10 sheet), 450mm:

and regular 4x5 folding camera (not quite as recent though): this car is my baby! supercharged, and all new drivetrain and suspension! 135mm lens if I remember correctly

I have one more to add from the open-air military museum. This one I'd label "Take off (?)"

one more from the vintage races last weekend. A not-so-vintage car, but I saw this shot and just had to grab a 4x10! I closed the lens down to f32 to keep the car from looking mineature (since there is little in the scene for scale reference), the back wall is still a bit soft though, so I think the car will pop nice on a 30" print!

A few images from a Nocturnes shoot at Bodie in '05. Both taken with a Toyo 4x5, the closeup with the 210/5.6 Nikkor and the wide angle with a 90/8 Nikkor - all Velvia. Unfortunately, all my camera equipment was later stolen in SF.

Since conceptual art is all the rage here in LA and romantic and dramatic losers like me get kicked in dark alleys of the Fine Art Los Angelino World, I thought to do something FUN!!! for once.
Conceptual art is supposed to have started from a concept, right?
For the moment look at the image, I have not fabricated a concept yet.

I'm happy the thread started to have it's life. Some wonderful shots presented.
I'll add my last one from the air-museum.

Anyone know what a Jesus Nut is?
Yeah, a nut that you can put a pin (Jesus pin) in to keep it from turning. Helio blades are held on with these kinds of nuts for example. So are wheels on car axels.
transportation of a sort...
My boys on a D7 parked down the street. 8x10 negative -- scanned (I just developed it last night).
