I did a little shooting at the Vicksburg Military Park this week, and got to wondering about photobooks or photographers working on Civil War/War Between the States monument photography. Any favorites or good examples of this type of work?

Also got to shoot the Windsor plantation ruins Clarence John Laughlin shot in 1941. Not much change since then.

Didn't David Muench do a book on Gettysberg or was that part of his national parks book?

Not exactly Civil War as such but I believe George Tice did a book on Abraham Lincoln monuments.

The Windsor ruins are fantastic. I shot about 4-5 rolls of 120 there 2 falls ago (I did not have space for the 4x5 in our family luggage) on the weekend before Thanksgiving... the trees were mostly bare and the ruins stood out very well in the morning light. I would love to go back with 4x5 and spend a day there.
