Ovation TV is showing a great photography series this weekend. I happened to see twenty minutes of one of the episodes and and thought the content was great. There were great photographs from past and present and quite a few LF photographers.

On DISH Network, it is being broadcast on channel 157 (OVATION/OVTN) for the San Franciso Bay Area:

Atui, many thanks. I just found it, on all day. Wife says "oh boy, another reason to watch TV!." Plugged it in to my favorites list.

Glad at least one person saw this post before the broadcast was over!

The photography series is still being broadcast and goes all the way to Sunday midnight.

Tell her you are just warming up for the Tour De France and the Olympics. :)

We don't get much on our basic cable. Are the shows available online anywhere? maybe on DVD later?

Thanks!

I guess they have been showing this series over and over again (must mean that it's fairly popular?). I was able to record a few of them several months ago. Highly interesting and worth watching!

They had a really interesting documentary on Sally Mann- What Remains or something like that. I thought it was quite good, very honest. It's great seeing how other photographers work.

I did not realize the Ovation network regularly shows photographers. Now, I set the DVR for every program. Watched the Sally Mann piece the other night. Agree, so interesting to see great photographers lives. Atui, you done good.

You are welcome!

Just by sheer luck I came across these episodes on Ovation TV (did not even know such a channel existed!) while browsing channel guide.
