I think I'm going to get a Epson V750 pro scanner with a Epson 3800 printer.Do you feel this is a good combo? What books are good for digital beginners like myself? I shoot 4x5 landscapes and fine print.

The printer without a doubt is first rate. You may want to consider the Microtec M1 scanner. It is supposed to have a little better dynamic range than the 750. The Epson is a decent scanner too for the money. FWIW I own both the 750V and 3800.

I's made by Microtec. A leader in pro-summer scanner technology.

I had quality control problems with two new Microtek 1800F scanners, which were the best consumer scanners "on paper" prior to the M-1. Epson can put out lemons too but I have yet to get one in the last 5-6 scanners or printers.

The 3800 is definitely a great printer.
