Hi everyone...
I had to take a flight to northern California this morning and as I was walking to gate 2 at Southwest Airlines, I noticed there was an art exhibit in the hallway. "Hey, great...", I thought, "there's some photographs here!" I immediately saw Domenico's name and saw 6 of his prints, matted and framed beautifully.
Each one is a gem and fortunately I had the time to enjoy them at length.
I had seen Domenico's work up close in the past, but it was a special treat for me to unknowingly discover them this morning. Absolutely beautiful and much-needed inspiration in my quest to hone my craft in the darkroom...and a perfect pick-me-up with which to start both my journey and my day.
Bravo, Domenico!

Hi PV,
Always nice to stumble across great photos...
And, even better to come across a forum members work!
Congratulations Domenico. If you're up to posting them here... I'm sure we'd all love to see them as well. :)
Cheers

Domenico would like for you all to come to LAX to see them, he gets a kickback from the airlines. :D
American Airlines cancels hundreds of flights forcing thousands to spend extra time milling around the airport. Meanwhile Domenico's prints go up on display at LAX. Coincidence? I think not. :)
Congrats, Domenico--I'd love to see some of your work here in the right coast.

Paul, thank you.
I am glad you had the chance to see the images, because...I didn't!
They are there, in no man's land, far away from my reach, badly scarred, I am sure from the x-ray machine.
I wonder how they are doing, in that cold environment of TSA officials and abused travelers with the occasional apprehensive film photographer wanting to hold to the priceless sensitive material.
It's no place for innocent prints, but they have to do their job.
Hold on, dear ones!
I want you to know that I miss you and that we all have to endure pain in life, give up something of ourselves.
Be well, and... get sold.

Darn! I just cycled through LAX twice this week (wednesday and today) and didn't get to see them :( I was flying UAL
I think having great photographs exhibited at airports is a fine idea! I was bumped at ORD and spent nine hours looking at crowds of people with blue tooth who were walking around talking to themselves----very surrealistic! It was like walking onto the set of a sci-fi movie
Looking at photographs would have been far better :)

Are you sure they had Blue tooth?
This is LA, you know....

Maybe not, but it was one of those cell phone thingys people stick in their ears and talk while they walk, to no one around just whoever is on the receiving end of the signal----if there is anyone else on the receiving end of the signal---hey what if there isn't? What if they are just walking around talking to themselves? What if they aren't "themselves?" What if they're from another planet and they're taking over...? There sure were a lot of them!

Remember Star Trek the Next Generation? These creatures are the first vanguard of the Borg.
Geek alert.

Actually, I took some phone-cam shots of the exhibit (Don't tell the APUG folks, he says embarassingly...)
I don't have any cell coverage up here, otherwise I'd upload 'em to Flickr for you all to see...maybe on Sunday when I'm back to civilization. This way Domenico will get to see his exhibit!
I will stop and have a look at Domenico's pictures next week since I must be traveling to LA on business trip.
Thanks for letting us know.

Gee, I'd need to show a boarding pass, have to take off my shoes and pass through a metal detector and then run a gauntlet of Borgs just to see the exhibit!
I'll bet it's worth it though! :)
