Only have two comments. I have the Fuji, and I like it very much. The Ronar is heavy and in a #3 shutter, the Fuji is in a #1 (probably not a big concern to an 8x10 user).

I have the Nikon. I don't use it a lot, but it's a good lens with lots of coverage. But I hear the fuji is a good lens, and more compact than the Nikon.

Large and heavy can be big concerns to an 8x10 user. I have the Fuji, and selected it specifically because of its low weight, compactness and ability to use a 52mm filter. My Phillips Compact II weighs only 7.8 lb. and, when combined with four holders, as well as 240 f/9 and 300 f/8.5 Fujis - - both of which also take 52mm filters - - in a Kelty external frame pack and a Gitzo 1325/Arca B-1 combination, results in a complete kit at around 25 pounds.

Anytime you can opt for a #1 Copal in a 450mm and cover 8x10 with a major lens manufacturer, it is a no brainer. The Fuji is sharp, contrasty and light as a feather. Plus, it takes a 52mm filter which is very reasonable in price - ever for a B+W. You will not be disappointed with the 450 Fuji.

Good Luck
