Does anybody have any experiences or insight they can share about the 22MP Sinar 52H? I am particularly interested in the sensor of this model and how it shapes up in single-shot mode? Who makes the sensor? Is the same sensor used in any other MF backs? How does the sensor compare in terms of actual size and performance with other 22MP backs? What about noise and shadow detail? What about power consumption.....many questions. But in a nutshell just one:

Is the Sinar 52H a lion or a mouse?

That one uses a Dalsa CCD. These are not common on the west coast of the US. Mostly I only have experience with PhaseOne and very briefly with Leaf. At this level, it is very difficult to get bad images. What you should do is rent, or try to get a demo, and give their software a run. Then decide if purchase would be a good choice, or a lease plan might give a better option.

Ciao!
