Will a Toyo 6x7 Roll Film Holder fit on a Canham Wood 4x5 Camera? I am confused as to whether it will slide into the camera back like a sheet film holder, or does it clip on after you take the ground glass off - which means it would not fit on a Canham. I have done the usual search but have found little to clarify this to me - is it a two piece unit that can be used both ways, or is it one unit? Any help would be appreciated.

I can't speak from experience with that holder, but most roll film holders that work on a graflock back work on the Canham wood just fine. You must put on the Canham (or similar) ground glass protector, and then put the back in. The back opens very wide and closes tight, while the gg protector saves the glass.

This is how you can put Canham's 6x17 back on his 5x7 wood camera as well.

Clyde - Thanks - that information about using a glass protector was just what I needed to know and probably would not have figured out on my own. So, a Horseman or Toyo would fit fine which increases the options in finding one to use.
