Drilling holes to lighten Technica camera

Has anyone out there drilled out holes in the frame & bed of Linhof Technicas to lighten it a bit more? Many take out the rangefinder and this helps, but can o ne drill the body out(ala Canham style holes) to lighten it a bit without effect ing rigidity?

Weakening the body to save how many oz?

You can't shave a pound off by drilling holes. But you sure would help to reduce its value.

Even removing the rangefinder doesn't really save much weight. Witness the Master Technika 2000. It comes without the rangefinder and weighs the same as the Master Techni
