Those of us who listened to Steve Simmon's presentation on "Metering" may remember that he said that it was Fred Picker who made the Zone System and personal testing clear to him. Fred's book, The Zone VI Workshop: The Fine Print in Black & White Photography, can be had for $0.01 and pennies more by going to amazon.com, books, and clicking on "used."

I just received a used copy from a bookseller affiliated with amazon, total cost was $3.99--$0.01 for the book, $3.98 for shipping. Took about a week.

Sadly, that deal is no longer available. I had to pay nine cents for the book and $3.99 for shipping, for a total of $4.08. ;)

Thanks for the tip!

Kit comes with everything you need to do the test.

Every once and a while, I see his book at our local Powell's Books store or on EBay. It shouldn't be too hard to find one.
