I recently acquired the Durst cls 1000 with the est1000n power supply. When I turn the power supply on the lamp lights up at a fraction of its maximum output and then after five seconds it goes to maximum output and stays there regardless of whether or not the timer or focus switch is engaged. I am assuming that there is something wrong with the power supply but without the schematic I do not know where to begin. I took a voltage reading at the lamp and was surprised to see that it was only at 100v. I adjusted the voltage pot in the est1000n, brought the voltage up to 118v but the problem remains. Does anyone know where I can get a spare power supply? Schematic?

Hi frotog,

Don’t know the CLS 1000 as my head is a ClS 300 – much older. But I have recently solved similar problems with a AC 901 which has a EST 1200 transformer system and the AC 901 control system.

Your EST 1000 might have the same design philosophy as the EST 1200. What kind of controls do you have for your CLS 1000 ?
How many cables go from your EST 1000 to the CLS 1000 ?
How many pins / tongues do the various cables have in their plugs ? This is significant as if they correspond to the EST 1200 I may be able to make some suggestions !!

Best Regards

Rob.
