I run a darkroom collective outside of Portland, Maine. We just picked up a Durst 1840 from a lab that closed. We're used to Chromega's (unfortunately), so I have some remedial questions:

1. The bellows need to be replaced, does anyone have any for sale? I've got the help of lab tech who will help me temporarily fix them, but we'll need some for long term use.

2. It came with 3 lens, the shortest a 260mm. There are people that will be printing 30x40 with a neg. as small as 35mm. What kind of lensboard/negative carrier adapter (s) should we get for printing small neg.'s? Any have those for sale?

3. Related to #2, I don't have an operator's or service manual? Any tips?

4. Is there anything specific I should check while aligning/cleaning? Any other tips?

5. We're always looking for really good used equipment if anyone knows of anything, preferably NYC and North.

Thanks,
Tanja

Tanja,

The easiest way to both get answers to all your specific questions and also get the parts you need is to contact Jensen Optical/Durst-Pro USA http://www.jensen-optical.us/

Thanks, Ted. I did contact him, I was hoping someone might know of and/or have used information. Although, I'm sure worth the price, new bellows aren't cheap....We're a non-profit so our budget is tight!
