Hello

This is my first post & would like to know if these cameras are still available to purchase new?

I already have a Gaoersi 6x17 and would like to purchase a second camera.

Regards

Ted

Oh yes they are. Either directly from Gaoersi http://www.gaoersi-camera.com/cp_detail.php?id=8019&nowmenuid=3300&cpath=&catid=0 or their eBay store.

I own one. I have to ask though: Why would you want to get a second?

They are fun cameras though. Looking forward to using mine more this summer.

Hello Max...thanks for your reply, a lot of people have said the same question. the trouble is besides taking fugi slide film, I also like to take monochrome as well, and it's not easy , nor practical to try and use the two films with just the one camera....When i bought my 6x17 in december 2005, i also bought the two lens adapters for my two lenses. the 150mm f5.6 APO sironar-N, and the 90mm f5.6 super angulon....which i like useing.....so with having the lenses...another 6x17 could be handy. however i am still thinking about it,,,,,thanks again Max, and take care....regards Tedward

Tedward,

You might want to check out this England based board: http://www.photo-i.co.uk/BB/viewforum.php?f=32
It seems like a lot of the Gaoersi pano users are there. There are some good "threads" on choosing the correct lens mount and how to calibrate the focus etc.
