How Do I Sell My Prints From Pictures?

HELLO,
I AM INTERESTED IN FINDING OUT THE AVENUES THAT I HAVE TO GO DOWN IN ORDER TO SELL MY PICTURES AS PRINTS SUCH AS WHAT COMPANIES TO INQUIRE INTO AND ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO GET EXPOSURE.

What are your photographs of?

In 1976 my Dad gave me a month-long Greyhound bus pass and a 35mm Canon Tlb slr. Jokingly my Dad suggested that I take pictures of all the bus station lavatories and send the prints to Greyhound with an offer to sell them the negatives.

I should have listened to him. Invested in the stock market with the proceeds, bailed out before the crash, and bought real estate in Napa with the profits---man, I'd be sitting pretty right now.

But I didn't follow his advice :(

OTOH, I guy I went to school with went to the airport (this was pre-9/11) took photos of airliners belonging to a regional airline, sent the airline prints and landed (sic) a position as the airline's "official photographer"
