I am looking at buying a used, older Dicomed Studio XL digital scan back. I know about the slow speed and Mac OS 9 issues -and I can handle those.

I need to copy some art work and I need to keep the cost under control. If fine art reproductions expand I will look at a newer Better Light system, but for now the Dicomed will get me off the ground.

Are there any Dicomed users out there - or any Dicomed support groups available?

Hi,

I did get a Dicomed Studio XL recently and have been shooting with it. I have the manuals and the latest version of the software for OS IX, Big Shot. If you have questions, let me know.

I have been using A Dicomed Field Pro for the past 6 years. Betterlight still services them and have a users forum through Yahoo groups. If you sift through the archives you will find many answers for the Dicomed units. You might also consider using the free software provided by betterlight http://betterlight.com/dicomedSoftware.asp, I found it much easier to use than the original Dicomed Bigshot software and it takes up a fraction of the memory.
