I have ended up with a Polaroid 545i holder, as well as an older, heavier, all-metal 545 holder.

I bought both used, and both seem to work, but I only need one. Which one would you recommend I keep?

Keep 'em both. Use the 545i as main holder and older 545 as backup. If you really have to give one up, give up the older, heavier one. I've been using the newer one for years with no problems. Just remember to keep rollers clean.

How do you clean the rollers?

Does there come a time when rollers need to be replaced, and how is that done?

Cleaning starts on page 6.

They break and jam all the time so having a spare is a good idea.

I also have the 545i and find it a bit lighter than the older 545. Doesn't matter which one you keep!

But, I agree with Frank. I'd keep both since you're not going to get a lot of money for either of them anyway. They sell for next to nothing on the bay!
