I've never heard of 879 until i was bumming around the 'roid site today. I'm aware that 809 has "issues". So what about 879? Thanks~jim

That's Polaroid film. 879 is no lnger manufactured, per the Polaroid site (http://www.polaroid.com/global/detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441761672&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302028656&bmUID=1152392835214&bmLocale=en_US).

Ouch......I was hoping it was a later greater emulsion (though considering the shape the company must be in, I was just being silly).

While we're here, how awful really is 809?

If you're accustomed to the reasonably accurate color rendition of Polacolor Pro 100 in smaller sizes, you may find the color rendition of Type 809 a little "funky".
