Is fungus infective?

Can I infect other lenses in the same bag by placing a fungus infected lens (I am not sure if it is still active/"alive") in the same bag as the other lenses. What about when using a common brush/cleaning cloth, or swapping lens caps?

Yes you can -- fungus replicates via spores that travel through the air. These spores can lay dormant for hundreds (and perhaps thousands) of years. Best to get it completely cleaned out before contaminating other glass.

Definitely yes, it will spread to other lenses.

I would suggest keeping camera and lens cases separately too, especially if they are made of leather.
