Viewing Threads by Posting Date

Hello,

Please forgive me if this question has been answered in a previous post or elsewhere on the new website, but I was unable to find the answer. With the old format, the threads were arranged by the time when they were started, not by in order of the last posting, as is the case with the new format. I found it easier to follow the progress of a thread when I knew where to look for it, since the order remained constant. Is there any way I can customize my view of the unified forum to list threads in order of the time they were started? Thanks!

Actually, in the old forum both views were available.

I've posted some info on getting the view order by post date in the News area (see http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?t=17419). You can also get it by thread post date in a similar way by using the sort option "threadstart". Here's an example:

<base forum url>/search.php?&do=getdaily&days=30&sortby=threadstart (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/search.php?&do=getdaily&days=30&sortby=threadstart). That shows the last 30 days. For selecting only your unread threads, replace "&do=getdaily&days=30" with "&do=getnew" (i.e. remove the days bit).
