View Full Version : Calumet Bellows Extension Calc Disk...

Greetings,

I have one of those two-piece plastic devices from Calumet Photo that I used to determine bellows extension factors on my 4x5. [

I believe a version of this was also posted here on this site at one point in time... QuickDisc?]

Can anyone think of any reason why it can't be used with a 5x7 camera in the same manner? Or, for that matter, an 8x10?

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Cheers

Nope, works fine. These things work on magnification, which is independent of format. I've always used the Quick Disc, it's free and better designed being round.

It works exactly the same on any format, from the largest ULF all the way down to 35mm and smaller. Or it would, if you could get the ruler on the screen in a 35mm...

Alan,

Or just take a Sharpie and put the scale on the DSLR sensor... :D
