Hello all!

I have a tricky question about Scsi cards..
The documentation of my Dainippon 8060p ii recommend "Adaptec PowerDomain 2930U" and "Adaptec PowerDomain 29160N".

I've found in my area a "2930CU" for sale, will this card work even if the documentation doesn't mention it?
From what i've read, The big difference between these the two cards "2930U" (which is recommended by the documentation) and "2930CU" (which is not mentioned) is that the 2930U has software controls to be downloaded whereas the 2930CU is automatically supported by Mac OS.

Does someone have informations about that? Will the 2930CU work as well as the 2930U ?

Thanks for your time all!

2930CU user's guide:

http://download.adaptec.com/pdfs/user_guides/aha2930cu_ug.pdf

I haven't read the document; it seems worth reading.

Try the Scan Hi-End (https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ScanHi-End/info) group over on Yahoo. If a forum is going to be able to engage you on this question, that one would be at the top of my list. Good luck with it.
