I've been looking for a suitable padded pouch for lenses on boards that I use in the field. Personally, I hate lens wraps.
In researching pouches, I stumbled upon what I consider a terrific pouch for my lenses, which are all in shutters and mounted on largish Toyo boards.

Uncle Mike's Pistol Pouch (small) #52418 can be gotten on Ebay or Amazon for about 10 bucks.
Rugged 600-denier polyester with high-density foam padding. It's very soft inside, and water rolls right off the exterior. It has a very nice heavy duty zipper, and a loop on one outer edge that I use to label which lens is inside.

There are a ton of luggage tags you can get. I opted for a hard plastic tag that snaps tight and comes with a perfect ring to attach to the pouch. Got them on Ebay: Ten for $1.37 plus $1.11 shipping from China. (Yes, 10) You can't beat it with a stick.

I used these pouches for all my field lenses, from a tiny 18cm Hugo Meyer, to a large selection of Ektars (from 135mm to the big 14"), and even a pretty massive 16-1/2" Dagor in #5 Universal shutter. That's pretty much the largest that can fit in there.

A little bulky, but cool!
Any troubles with clearing the zippers when putting away or removing lenses?
(some of my lenses are missing caps, to those who have all their caps my question is less relevant)

Looks like it could be used as a film holder pouch too.

The zipper will not be a problem. That was one of the things I was concerned with a s well. The zipper teeth are small and don't have any sharp edges. Originally meant as a pistol pouch and gun guys are extremely anal about scratching their firearms.
It's too small for an 8x10 film holder but it'll work fine for anything smaller.

Plain ole bubble wrap pouches! That's all I use. Dirt cheap, lightwt, waterproof.
