My gallery is hosting in July "Etudes au Naturel" (Nude fine art photography)

https://www.facebook.com/25oak/

One of two photographers, David Aimone, is a friend and fellow LF photographer. Some of the photos are from LF negatives and he makes alt process prints. He's getting really good at Kallitype prints and mixed Kallitype over archival inkjet for color. He's pretty popular on flickr but his prints need to be seen to be appreciated. I won't be at the opening but will be covering some Friday/Saturdays during the month or by appointment.

Press release text:

Gallery Opening of "Etudes au Naturel", images by David Aimone and Florin Ion Firimita. The show runs July 7th (Rockland First Friday Art Walk) through July 23rd.

This should be a great event with over 50 photos, music by Kayla Joe and catering by Mary Jo Mathieson of Maine Cottage Design! Artists talk and some other surprises planned. Make an evening of it and bring some friends... Rockland will be hopping!

Two artist whose work complements each other's...

Florin's work has appeared in France, Great Britain, and in the U.S. The Art of Leaving a film about Florin’s art and life was released in 2003. The film was the official selection of seven international film festival such as Santa Fe, Durango, New York, Chicago, and also Montreal’s 23rd Festival International du Film Sur L’Art. His first novel, Reliquary is scheduled to be published in 2017.

David's work has appeared in numerous shows across the USA and Europe, and was a founder of the Monhegan Photo Festival which had a show last year at 25 Oak Gallery. David's work ranges from figure to landscape, and he uses both old and new technologies in blurring the line between fine art and photography. These various approaches will be evident in "Etudes au Naturel".
