Hello Everyone.

My name is Marcia and I'm from the UK. I'm an enthusiastic hobby photographer specialised in landscapes for about four years now. During one of my last shootings I met a guy using a LF camera. He really got me interested in that. So I did some research on the internet and stumbled across this forum. Hopefully I can get some advice here. I got the impression, that it will be a new, unique and challenging experience.

Greetings.
Marcia.

Lots of good info on the homepage on the site. Get a copy of this book as your operating instructions! https://books.google.com/books?id=v2_ZBAAAQBAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=inauthor:%22Leslie+Stroebel%22&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj5-5HLyunRAhVBWmMKHbxzABUQ6AEIHjAB#v=onepage&q&f=false

Or Using the View Camera: A Creative Guide to Large Format Photography by Steve Simmons (it will be used, but seems to be available in the UK - try addall.com).

Not everyone who meets a large format photographer gets the bug. It has to be fertile ground!

Welcome. It's a little bit of effort but the rewards of superb images from LF are worth it.

Welcome to the forum Marcia. Where in The UK are you based? LF is a long learning curve but for me it's the ultimate form of photography. There is a lot to learn, especially about lenses and camera movements but when it all comes together it is very rewarding.
Pete.

Welcome - this is a great forum for large format - fairly active and lots of knowledgeable users. You'll want to check out the information on the Home Page as well - well written and covers a lot of good information. Another site worth following is APUG ( http://www.apug.org/forum/index.php?forums/classifieds-for-sale.152/ )

Since you're based in the UK, one other site I'll recommend is FADU (Film and Darkroom User Group - http://www.film-and-darkroom-user.org.uk/forum/index.php )

It's based in the UK and there's lot's of helpful people on it - maybe some in your area

Regards
Dave
