I've been busy researching possible choices for this focal length in the 7x17 format, and have a short list below of what I've found. Please do not hesitate to correct or to add lenses to this.

240mm f/9 Computer
240mm f/9 Kyvytar
240mm f/9 Graphic Kowa (Some will work, depending on lens grouping)
9 1/2 in f/6.8 Dagor (Soft corners have been reported, althought another thread on 7x17 lenses provides a chart that show that it should work.)

Thanks,

Ed

Here is the thread on my (current) GK's performance:

There's also the Kyvytar 230mm f9.

A 240 that covers 7x17 has to cover around 88 degrees.

Good luck.

The 260mm Konica Hexanon GRII should cover 7X17.

If you check the thread I linked, you'll see that it is possible.

I really don't understand why you do not think it's possible; there is a heap of supporting documentation.

And what about the 210mm SSXL/SA and 200mm Grandagon? They all smash 7x17".

The 260mm Konica Hexanon GRII should cover 7X17.

It should.

The 213mm Repomaster just misses the corners.

Here is a shot with my 240/9 Graphic Kowa on 7x17. I think it covers quite nicely.

Karl, thanks for posting the shot.

You cheated. There's little detail in the corners so its hard to tell whether the lens renders it sharply.

:-)

The foreground is probably in front of the plane of focus. I may or may not have used much front tilt in this shot. Looking at my notes I see that I shot this at f64. I'm not going to say it's super sharp all the way to the corners, but that doesn't really matter to me. The main part of the image is very sharp.

There's also the Kyvytar 230mm f9.

Thanks, Lachlan! I'll add this to the original list. That said, I think that you meant 240mm f/9.

There is no Kyvytar 230. It's the 240/9.

I'm not long out of the trees, and was typing with my prehensile big toe. Apologies! 240mm it is (same group as the Computar and GK).

G-claron?

Covers 64 degrees according to Schneider. Do the arithmetic.
