Hope someone can help with this, I'm looking for an L shaped bracket to enable me to mount my shen hao 617 vertically on my tripod so the camera is over the ball head. Up until now I have used a "cross arm" that came with the tripod but this puts the cameras weight outside the tripod legs, and although it hasn't tipped yet it always seems like it might. I've trawled the web without much success, plenty of L shaped flash brackets and small brackets but nothing that looks like it will acomodate the Shen Hao. I could make something up, but I thought there must be something on the market at a sensible already

I made one for my 4x10. I found this material on Ebay. Unfortunately, I cannot remember what it's called. It's pretty easy to cut to size and bolt together.

A couple of pieces of hardwood, drill some holes, some screws, and knobs with bolt shafts and not a lot of imagination required, unless someone wants to throw money at something... :-~
