Good day to all, I know this is a LF forum, but I was wondering if any has ever tried to make their own TLR camera? A little background, a few months back I received a Rolleicord camera that was in pretty bad shape. For a while, I decided to store the camera away until I figured out what I wanted to do with it. Well, I started to strip it down for parts because I am wanting to make a 6x12 camera. I took what I think I'll need for the 6x12 and what I had left was the WLF, mirror and lens set with shutter. The glass and shutter are surprisingly in great shape.

With all that being said, I started to look at the DIY plastic 35mm TLR cameras and was wondering if any had tried to fit some Rolleicord lenses on that camera or made their own from wood. Any suggestions and assistance or places to look would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Dave

Thank you for the link. I saw it earlier and it was one of the ones that got me thinking about doing a project like it. I was hoping someone either here or on APUG may have tried; however, the response that I have received this far leads me to believe that not many to no one has. I have thoughts of what I might try to do so I think it's a matter of trial and error to get something made.
