Happy 4th of July! 5x6 Wetplate with 1800s rapid rectilinear lens (the CC Harrison petzval I started with was way too fast this sunny day, even with a 1 second exposure).

Yeah, I have a right-click histogram program on Chrome for looking at things like this, when I see something I like, or alternately, something I really don't like, to help me understand histograms better.. The histogram on the top one is a thing of beauty.

Nagaoka 4x5, Nikkor-m 300 f9. Era 100 film.

This was before I painted the (very reflective) aluminum top hat lensboard, so I got some bad light bouncing back onto the film. Killed the edges of the shot. I did some quick and dirty burning to tone down the light leaks, but meh, I'd rather fix the board and re-shoot.
