What? No one started June yet? How about 3 from me then? (they were taken in May, but processed yesterday etc.)

First up, a multiple Hugo awards editor and podcaster, Lynne Thomas, for the "Worldbuilders of Science Fiction and Fantasy" project:

Then we have Kylie, as Sleeping Beauty, for the "Transformations:Cosplay" project

http://richardmanphoto.com/PICS/20160601-Scanned-1581.jpg

Then finally, Cait, as the "West Witch". Not only is the costume amazing, it's also not trivial to walk in such dress and Cait does it with grace

Another pair from the Renaissance Fair (mistakenly put two in May). Just missed optimum focusing on the first but hit the second pretty well.

Not a portrait really, rather a "snap shot" of a lady dancing.

Hey cool, a fellow color LF portraitist :-)

LOL, thanks, but I don't think I'm there yet. But this is the first time I developed C41 at home, so that's a major mental block overcome.

Great shots of the Cosplayers, I particularly like the one in the center.

Thanks hoffy. This one is NOT LF (8 years old dSLR), but it's Liz on the following evening accepting for George Miller getting the award for Mad Max Fury Road. Love her energy!

Had two films left to burn up before setting up the Jobo. So I grabbed my neighbor and his youngest, this is the better of the two. Shot with Speed Graphic, 127 Ektar and expired Porta.

Great photos Alan & others.

This is a recent portrait with my daughter. She's got a serious side like me. I got a nice one of my other daughter last year holding a lupine, so I thought I'd spend some time and film on the idea. I think this is with my Kodak 305 portrait lens and fp4+ in pyrocat hdc. I'll know for sure once I develop the other photos.

Cute!! Brings to mind the time when I was that age when barefooted I stepped on a caterpillar (is that one one the rock!) and left me screaming and crying. I still remember it after all these years.

I have ~80 negatives from my projects to be scanned and posted (hopefully around 30-40 would be good enough....) :-) Probably not all posted here though. It would swamp the thread...

Here's one:

http://richardmanphoto.com/PICS/20160618-Scanned-1594.jpg

Science Fiction author John Scalzi and his wife "K". Mr. Scalzi is somewhat a spokesperson for the genre as he writes a popular blog.

In the previous evening, my friend John O' saw an Instagram of K and Alethea Kontis with John photobombing in the back and commented that I should get them to participate to my ‪"Worldbuilders of SF&F"‬ project. I said, yes, they are on it except K, so I talked to K, explained to her the project is "portraits of Science Fiction & Fantasy creative types on 4x5" large format film". K replied that she's not an author.

I said, "Oh?" and she said, "I am John Scalzi's wife." I said, "GREAT, I would love to take your photos!"

Nice Rembrandt lighting. And you have captured perfectly that jaded "Dad, enough with the camera" look common to the teenage children of large format shooters...

The tones are not as good as my other 8x10 portrait this month. I'd credit that to having more experience with the fp4+/pyrocat combination. Or maybe a lack of a lens shade on the lens where the Kodak has it built in.

This is with Ektascan B/ra in dektol. It's very capable film I just haven't figured out yet.

This is with the B&L Sigmar lens 19", speed graphic shutter at 1/250, 8x10 B&J rembrandt camera. I lined up the building and sky behind her knowing it would render into abstract tones. Must use this lens more with film I know more.

Started raining so our shooting was cut off but I managed to get two images. In the first one, I don't think she realized I was taking the photo. I was also in a rush because of the rain that I forgot to level the camera. The others just a little more artsy of a photo.
