View Full Version : Trying to date these negatives 'Plaque seches au gelatino-bromure d'argent'

Does anybody know when these negatives were commonly used, I'm trying to date these pictures and have no other info than the box and the pics are in the Pyrenees, France. From 1886 until ???

I think this from after the turn of the century. More relaxed clothing on a woman of some age!

The second plate was taken on the 14th of July. Bastille day with the local regiment parading on the central town square.

Unlike Steven I think 1890's based on Lumiere packaging in th 1900's being different, that's assuming the box is contemporary to the plate, also the 1889 Grand Prix, plates were evolving fast and Lumiere were at the forefront.
