So a few weeks ago I bought an Arca style clamp adapter for my Manfrotto 410 head. I liked it so well I bought another for my heavy duty tripod which also has a 410 head (my favorite head).

This is the journey this package has traveled to get to my house in New Mexico from the manufacturer Hejnar in Illinois. Seriously? Via Puerto Rico?

Kirk,

Go to your local PO and ask to speak with the supervisor about it. He or she will make some phone calls and will find out where it is, etc.

No wonder USPS is hurting!

Alan that's what I was thinking. This can't be very cost effective to say the least.

Don't tell me.Let me guess. After all that, it was the wrong adapter?

No Hejnar did everything right. I've never had anything but good experiences with him. USPS obviously scanned it incorrectly and off it went on a marvelous journey.

I see that often, at least they tell the truth.. I still prefer USPS as they are getting better all the time.

I am amazed at their 3 day Priority use your own box shipping prices.

They pick it up, ship a 18x18x16" 17 lb box to the next state for $11.00! Door to door Monday to Wednesday.

FED-UP never does that.

What I find amazing is that it while it may have mistakenly gone to PR, it found its way to NM relatively quickly.

Puerto Rico must be a popular misrouting destination. I had checked baggage go there a while back.

Yes me too. Nine days from pick in Illinois to Puerto Rico and then to my door.

There are many stories of people (including politicians) thinking that New Mexico is not part of the US..... be happy New Mexico is no longer known as New Spain...

Did the box look like an accordion when it arrived? Any Zen-type advice for those of us who sweat out every day we wait for a delivery?
