Rental in Corpus Christi

Hey,

I've got a gig coming up in Corpus Christi - never been there before. Need a full compliment of strobe gear and would really prefer not to fly from LAX with it in tow. My Google-Fu is apparently weak when it comes to finding a place to rent strobes + grip gear in/near Corpus. I'm pretty sure I'd be able to find something in San Antonio or Houston but the 2+ hour drive to/from almost makes it worth bringing gear from home.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

Austin is your best bet, though not what you wished for. I'm not familiar with Austin rental places, but if you find one, call and explain your situation. Maybe they can help with some sort of delivery.

Dude, I doubt you can even buy film in Corpus! You might be able to rent a swim suit, camera gear? Yeah right. The recommendation is to bring your own unless you want to drive 2 hrs to the San Antonio Camera Exchange, and I don't know if they even rent!
